At Messiah, we have a congregational approach to Youth Ministries. That means that we all--the whole congregation--are the people who plan youth events, teach classes, make friends with children and teens, offer advise and support, act as role models, and, most importantly, share the Christian community.
JOURNEY- Affirmation of Baptism
Children begin their confirmation experience with First Communion Classes. Upper grade elementary students train as acolytes and nursery helpers. Youth begin our "Lutheran Course" Confirmation Program in 6th grade. The three-year journey is split between topical overnights, service events, fellowship events, a summer confirmation clinic, confirmation trips & camps, and personal sessions with our staff.
Sunday School--Education and Fellowship for Children, Teens, & Families
Sunday School meets at 10:30 a.m. beginning in the sanctuary with a children's lesson and ending in the sanctuary with communion. Students are with their teachers in classes during most of the 10:30 worship service. A highlight of every year is the Sunday School Christmas program. Thank you to all the teachers, parents and students for making Sunday School a joy. There is always room for more kids! Click on the link below to register

MOPS is for all moms with children from pregnancy through the end of kindergarten. It's a place for friendship and play dates, authentic community, support, and growth - because better moms make a better world. Please follow the link to register and join us for a meeting!

Following are the guidelines of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church with regard to unacceptable behavior for the protection of children, youth and adults as they interact in the ministry and programs of the congregation. Whenever there are church sponsored functions it is helpful to have clearly stated expectations as to what is and isn't acceptable behavior.
