At Messiah, we have a congregational approach to Youth Ministries. That means that we all--the whole congregation--are the people who plan youth events, teach classes, make friends with children and teens, offer advise and support, act as role models, and, most importantly, share the Christian community.
We have developed a safe plan to hold classes during this time of restrictions because of Covid-19. Each grade will meet separately at North Fourth on a different Sunday of the month from 11:30 am to 1 pm. This schedule may change depending on the number of students attending in person. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Jen Elsenbroek at email@example.com.
Sunday School--The Beatitudes
Kids of all ages are invited to join us this fall for a different kind of Sunday School! Since we cannot meet in person, we will be offering weekly, video-based lessons on "The Beatitudes" from Matthew's gospel. If you are not on the email list to receive the coloring sheets and other information that goes along with these lessons, please contact the church office.
MOPS- Mothers of Preschoolers
Once a month September through May, Marquette Area MOPS meets at Messiah on the second Thursday from 5:30-7:30PM. MOPS encourages and equips moms of young children to realize their potential as mothers, women and leaders, and in relationship with Jesus. MOPS is for all moms with children from pregnancy through the end of kindergarten. It's a place for friendship and play dates, authentic community, support, and growth - because better moms make a better world. Please follow the link to register and join us for a meeting!

Child Protection Policy
Following are the guidelines of Messiah Evangelical Lutheran Church with regard to unacceptable behavior for the protection of children, youth and adults as they interact in the ministry and programs of the congregation. Whenever there are church sponsored functions it is helpful to have clearly stated expectations as to what is and isn't acceptable behavior. Please acquaint yourselves thoroughly with this information. Should you need clarification please be in touch with the professional staff of the church.
